About Us

Hey there.  We’re the Sartors.   We met in the fall of 1998 at Trinity University and have been together ever since.  After finishing college, Matt went on to become a financial advisor, an admistrative assistant at a non-profit, a web designer, a college pastor, an associate director of a fledgling non-profit, oh, and he got paid to watch movies.  Lauren went on to become a high school teacher and she found that she really had a heart for teaching second language learners.  We are both natives of Texas and continue the debate as to whether Dallas or Austin is the better city.  That’s probably why we ended up living in San Antonio.

In 2003, we believe God called us to one day live as missionaries in San Jose, Costa Rica for two years.  In August of 2004, we left everything we knew and moved to Central America to share the good news of what Christ has done in our lives.  We filled our time there with work, the unending quest to learn good Spanish, getting to know the locals, and spending time with the other "gringos" on our team.

We now reside in Lawrenceville, Georgia where we have come to serve a small church called Covenant Life.  We arrived in the summer of 2006 and have been thoroughly wrapped up in the community here, while settling into our new home and waiting for our baby girls to arrive in early December.  God’s faithfulness and provision remain constant and we look forward to what the next few years will bring.
